CASCAIS Câmara is currently planning a major campaign to rid the borough of the unsightly graffiti that covers many of its walls and buildings. Illegal publicity posters will also be removed during the initiative that is scheduled to begin this spring. The main focus of the clean-up operation will be the borough’s council buildings and facilities, however, the offices of private companies and institutions will also be receiving attention. In addition, a cleaning team is set to visit the 100-year-old Hospital Ortopédico de Santana in Parede, one of the worst sufferers of graffiti in the town centre.
