Anti-drilling

A petition opposing oil and gas drilling along the Algarve coast has already received over 4,000 signatures.
Drawn up by the Algarve Surf and Marine Activities Association (ASMAA) it hopes to obtain between 30,000 and 100,000 signatures by August when the next move will be to take the issue to parliament.
“An oil or gas disaster would leave our maritime wild-life totally vulnerable to destruction,” executive-director of ASMAA Laurinda Seabra told Lusa news agency.
