A civic movement for the abolition of bullfighting in Portugal received the most votes in an online initiative launched by the government.
The anti-bullfighting movement, promoted in the government’s O Meu Movimento (My Movement) online page, was supported by 8,163 people.
As part of the government’s initiative, the leader of the movement has the chance to meet with the Prime Minister to further reiterate their reasons for opposing bullfighting.
