Written by Susan Vesey, The Algarveans 2010 pantomime was a comical take on the traditional favourite Jack and the Beanstalk, “with a twist and a few surprises,” according to director Lloyd Delderfield.
The Algarve Resident’s Kate Fitzsimmons said: “As usual, The Algarveans pulled off another great pantomime. It was fun for all the family and was a great antidote to a long and wet winter.”

She added: “As well as the humorous acting, the backstage team put a lot of effort into the costumes and set design, which added to the fun of the show.”
Between May 12 and 14, The Algarveans will reunite their audience with characters Rene, Yvette, Edith and Herr Flick in their spring production based on the renowned BBC comedy series Allo Allo. Auditions will be held in the Silves Theatre Club on February 22 at 7.30pm.
