Another child drowns

A two year old boy has become the latest victim of drowning in Portugal after he drowned in the pool of an after school activities club in Leira, north of Lisbon.

The case is being investigated by Portuguese social services as the case occurred in a place that should be professionally monitoring children.

Meanwhile, the search by authorities for Diogo Sabrosa, the child who was dragged out to sea by a freak wave on March 15, has been called off despite an emotional plea to continue by his parents.
