The Dutch Quartet of Inge Lulofs, Brigitta Klein Goldewijk, Irene Ainstein and Frank Fahner will be performing on Sunday, March 20, at Quintinha da Música, near Tavira, at 5pm.
The pianists will be playing in various combinations, using one or two grand pianos, and will be playing music by Mozart, Boccherini, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky.
Inge Lulofs works with the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra where she plays piano and celesta and is the accompanist for all auditions.
Brigitta Klein Goldewijk is a renowned soloist in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK.
English-born Irene Ainstein won first prize in a competition for young musicians after only one year of piano study. She later participated in the Contest Mozart and has performed in the Netherlands, Germany, England and China.
Frank Fahner is a well-known accompanist and teacher who has invented computer programmes and computer games to help students of music theory.
The annual “two piano 40 fingers” concert has become a musical highlight known for being exciting, fun and technically brilliant.
Cost is €25, including interval drinks and tapas.
