Animals of Tavira helped

A fundraising lunch to raise money for the Tavira-based animal charity 3AT raised more than €1,300.

The lunch, which took place on June 19, was held at the house of British residents Sue and John Graham and saw animal lovers of many nationalities coming together to raise money for the charity.

During the lunch, the president of 3AT, Cristina Rodrigues, spoke about the associations commitment to raising funds for abandoned animals with the ultimate aim being to be able to provide a suitable rescue centre in the area.

“We need to find a suitable location to be able to create heaven on earth for these abandoned animals because every day we find more cases of animals suffering,” she said.

The lunch also provided an opportunity to let people know more about the work of the association and to show pictures of all the dogs that are currently available for adoption with 3AT.
