Volunteers of Lisbon-based animal association Animalife will be at a number of Continente supermarkets this weekend (May 16-17) hoping to collect 250 tons of animal food for its ‘Banco Solidário Animal’ (BSA) campaign.
If you live in the Algarve, you can make donations at Continente supermarkets in Guia, Loulé, Tavira and Portimão (both outlets).
The association is also open to donations of leads, collars, food bowls, litter bags and animal hygiene and deworming products.
Donations will go to the 100-plus animal associations that Animalife supports throughout Portugal.
A food drive last weekend already raised over 93 tons of food.
