LISBON CÂMARA’S vice president, Marcos Perestrello, inaugurated 25 new boxes at the municipal kennels, which cares for abandoned cats and dogs.

Also present at the inauguration on March 28 was the president of the Liga Portuguesa dos Direitos dos Animais, the Portuguese animal rights league, Maria do Céu Sampaio. The kennels is home to around 80 dogs and five cats ready for adoption.
