The association for the protection of animals, PRAVI Algarve, is appealing for public donations to help wipe out a deficit of around €6,300 in the running of its veterinary clinic in Faro. Since November 2010, PRAVI has spent more than €12,000 treating hundreds of stray, abandoned or maltreated animals but has been able to meet only 50% of the expenditure, so needs financial help to continue its work.
