The PetArt initiative aims to raise money for animals while brightening people’s homes. Artists throughout Portugal have donated works of art to be auctioned off on March 8 at Flores do Cabo, in Colares, Sintra, to raise money for local abandoned animals.
But for people who cannot get to Sintra, organisers are taking bids by email ([email protected]). They can be sent through any time this week and include the full name of the bidder and a telephone number.
“No-one is making any money in this initiative,” said organiser Idalina Graça. “None of the artists are taking a penny. This is all done to help the animals.”
