ANYONE WHO spends time in the Algarve recognises that there is a serious shortage of funds to help animals in need.
On August 13, Quinta da Ria has kindly donated the Quinta da Ria golf course to help raise money for the Quintinha dos Animais Abandonais in Goldra. The Quintinha, run lovingly by Maria de Lourdes Ingle and Les Brookes, is a shelter for dogs, cats and donkeys. Participants in the Golfer’s Aid Tournament will be competing for the 2005 BUC (Beat Up Cat) cup. The format for the tournament is a better ball pairs stableford. There will be a 9am shotgun start, with a barbecue lunch followed by a prize giving ceremony. A 50 euro entry fee will cover your green fee, lunch and prize giving. Contact Quinta da Ria on 281 950 585 or Doug Moody on 916 198 785. Your support is greatly appreciated.
