A fundraising event in aid of animals will take place on Sunday (April 10) at Carvoeiro Clube de Ténis between 10.30am and 6pm.
The goal is to raise money for the ‘4 the love of animals’ cause, namely to sterilise a pack of over 20 dogs in Sesmarias, Carvoeiro and fund any further medical care they may need.
Part of the money will also go to Corinna Janiec, the head of the Carvoeiro Cat Charity (CCC) which is trying to build a sanctuary for cats that have illnesses or are no longer able to survive on the street.
There will be a lot of entertainment throughout the day, including a talent show, dog show, raffle, auctions, stalls and food.
The event is sponsored by Noble School in Porches and Villa-Pet vets in Carvoeiro.
