SIR RICHARD Branson was quoted this week in the British media accusing Portuguese police and media of “crossing the line” when suspecting of Kate and Gerry McCann.
The boss of Virgin group said: “Imagine that you have a child kidnapped, go through a nightmare and when police are unable to find a criminal, start putting stories in the press.”
Mr Branson has been helping the McCanns in their legal defence after they were named formal suspects over Madeleine’s disappearance.
