Angola sends 160 to be trained as judges and prosecutors in Portugal

Portugal’s justice system has long been criticised for its sloth, but that is not putting off Angola which will be sending 60 candidates here for training as judges and prosecutors this year – and another 100 in 2016. The Angolan Republic describes the move as a “Titanic effort” to increase its country’s number of magistrates. Like Portugal, Angola is currently trying to “redraw the judicial map” and promote justice throughout its territory.
