Angola diversifying

Portugal’s privatisation plans don’t appear to be attractive enough for the Angolan government.

Manuel Vicente, State Minister for Economic Coordination in Angola, said the world today was “a global village and, as they say, one should never place all the eggs in one basket”.

Angola’s number two said it will be up to private enterprises to decide on whether they are interested in investing money in Portugal. “We will support them of course,” he said.

Portugal intends to privatise TAP, CTT, Águas de Portugal, ANA and RTP among other companies.
