A 16th century building in Cacela Velha, Vila Real de Santo António, is to be transformed into a visitors’ centre in the first half of this year.
The Câmara said that the ancient property, which used to be a priest’s house (Casa do Pároco), is to be redeveloped into an information centre for anyone interested in knowing more about Cacela Velha, its history, traditions and natural heritage.
The work, which has already started, represents an investment of €175,000, partly funded by the EU.
