An exhibition of artworks by Faro artist Hugo Batalha de Almeida will be inaugurated at the Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort on Friday (December 6) at 6pm and will remain on display until January 2.
Entitled ‘Sailors Eternitas’, the exhibition will feature several paintings created by the artist over the years. It will be open to everyone and is the latest exhibition hosted by Anantara Vilamoura.
Hotel manager Marta Mota Pinto, who is passionate about art, has been working on developing a concept of a “lived-in gallery” at Anantara Vilamoura by giving local artists the possibility of using the hotel as their own gallery where they can exhibit their paintings during at least one month.
“So far this year, we have already hosted three art exhibitions by Glen Hague, Maria Grigutsch and João Mota Gomes,” said the manager.
The main goal of the project is to “promote contact with the local community by revealing the best that the Algarve has to offer and give these artists all the necessary facilities to showcase their art to the guests that visit us every day from all around the world”.
