An explosive success

ONE OF the most eagerly anticipated events in the Algarve boxing calendar, Dynamite 7 – Bad Intentions took place on Sunday at the Hotel Paraíso in Albufeira in front of a sold-out arena.

Nearly 1,200 people attended the event and Master of Ceremonies for the night was one of Portugal’s top TV personalities, Rui Unas. A full fight-card of 10 fights took place including K1 Superfights, a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight and challenges for the Dynamite Champions Belt in three weight divisions.

Marina “The Princess” Zueva, who has just turned 18 years old, faced the last minute replacement from the UK, Sarah Hulian. Marina dominated from the start with some crushing kicks to the head, forcing Sarah to pull out before the start of the third round.

For the first time, Dynamite Fight Promotions included an MMA fight, which saw Jacimar “Pretinho” beat Kaio Gonzaga in an aggressive match. The main event of the evening was the K1 SuperFight between local fighter Vitor Perreira and the Swedish Champion, William Schaferer, who came out on top at the end.

Dynamite 7 was an explosive success for Algarve’s fighters, who won fights against challenging international opponents.

The next Dynamite fight-night will be on March 16, 2008.
