In celebration of World Theatre Day on March 27, Portimão Municipal Theatre is presenting a programme throughout the month featuring various music and performing arts shows.
On March 16, Aurora Gonçalves, a 22-year old singer from Cabanas de Tavira, will perform at 10pm. Entry to her concert costs €2.
This will be followed by a performance on March 17 where the group A Naifa will present their “Disobedient Hearts” tour at 9.30pm. Tickets cost €15.
Two sessions featuring a family puppet show by Antonio Torrado, Vem aí o Zé das Moscas, will take place on March 23, the first at 2.30pm and the next at 4pm. Tickets cost €2.50 per person.
World Theatre Day itself will be marked with the play Começar a Acabar, which will begin at 9.30pm and costs €5 to see.
The programme ends with the Orchestra of the Algarve, who will perform at 9.30pm under the musical direction of conductor John Avery. Tickets cost €10.
Tickets are now on sale for all of these performances at the Municipal Theatre of Portimão and can be purchased on the day of the shows from 2pm.
