‘ALFA Exploring English’ is hosting a session on the many amusing and serious uses of the English language on Wednesday May 9 at 2.30pm at the Convento de S. José in Lagoa.
You are invited to participate with readings or recitals or just listen to those who are happy to do so.
Guest speaker this month is Lloyd Delderfield, well known for his acting skills in many of the Algarveans theatrical productions, where he played many diverse parts including Pantomime Dames.
Lloyd is currently rehearsing his role as an unscrupulous insurance broker in the current production of Poor Old Uncle George due to be performed later this month at Lagoa Auditorium (read story on page 10). Before coming to the Algarve, Lloyd spent many years acting and directing in other countries and will be telling the audience something of his theatrical adventures at the meeting.
