TWO INAUGURAL concerts celebrating the recent arrival of a new piano at São Lourenço Cultural Centre, in Almancil, were complete sell-outs.
Audiences were thrilled as Paul Crossley and Artur Pizarro played an exciting and varied programme on the new Yamaha C5. The long awaited piano far exceeded everyone’s expectations with its dazzling capabilities.
World renowned pianist Artur Pizarro said: “I have played many Yamaha C5s throughout the world and this has to be one of the very best.” Paul Crossley said that, at last, the Associação de Amigos de Música de São Lourenço (or just ‘Amigos’ as it is known) and the cultural centre had a piano to be proud of. During the intervals of the two concerts, on the terraces of the cultural centre, the Amigos, along with other international concert-goers, enjoyed canapés and a glass or two of wine.
