Peterborough United FC held an intensive pre-season training camp between July 3 and 9 at the Amendoeira Sports Club, based at the Amendoeira Golf Resort, near Silves.
Peterborough United FC, also known as The Posh, were promoted to the Championship division of the Football league after winning the play offs
against Huddersfield. Manager Darren Ferguson, son of Sir Alex Ferguson, brought the team to the Algarve for pre season training and to give trials to a number of players, including former England Youth International
midfielder Josh Wright.
“The way we have been looked after has been first class and the facilities this place offers are second to none. The most important factor for me personally was the state of the pitch and that has been fantastic and has allowed us to do the work we set out to do,” said
Darren Ferguson.
