British Ambassador to Portugal Jill Gallard visited the offices of the Algarve Resident on Wednesday afternoon as part of her first official trip to the Algarve.
During the visit she was accompanied by British Consul to the Algarve Clive Jewell and both were introduced to all members of the team.
The Resident Group Editor Inês Lopes said: “It’s an honour to welcome the British Ambassador to our offices, particularly as this is her first official visit to the Algarve. For her to take time out of her busy schedule to come to meet the team means a lot to us. We hope she will return to the Algarve soon with a bit more time to explore our delightful region.”

Jill Gallard was also welcomed by Michael Reeve and his team at the afpop offices in Portimão.
The Ambassador also attended a British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) dinner at the Oceânico Amendoeira resort on Wednesday evening and a consular outreach event in Albufeira’s Hotel Vila Galé Cerro Alagoa on Thursday morning.
