Amateur golfers new challenge

A new challenge awaits amateur golfers in the Europcar International Golf Trophy which takes place in the Algarve from November 13-16. The tournament is designed to bring together foreign golfers, often unable to play on their home courses in winter because of bad weather conditions.

Golfers from more than 10 different countries are expected to participate and Portuguese and foreign residents in the Algarve may also enrol.

Prices start at 295 euros for the four-day competition which includes dinner on the final day and the action takes place at Alto Golf, Gramacho, Pinta and Silves . Visitors will stay at Alvor Praia and Dom João II hotels, both in Alvor.

The tournament will be preceded by two practice days and played in the medal stroke play format with players rotating on all four courses.
