Adversários do Mar (AMAR), a socio-cultural events organisation, is holding its 2011 Summer Sports Holidays edition between June 27 and September 2 from 9am to 5pm in various places across the region.
A spokesman from AMAR told the Algarve Resident: “Our proposal is the children enjoy the summer in a fun and educational way, which includes classes in body boarding, canoeing, tennis, swimming, and street surfing, among other activities.”
Aimed at children from six-years-old, the project includes visits to cultural destinations such as Sagres, Tavira Island, Zoomarine, Krazyworld and several awareness sessions on topics such as nature, safety and first aid.
“This programme aims to promote physical activity, encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyles and also contact with nature for the children,” added the spokesman.
Participants can choose from several subscription packages. All activities require advance booking.
