Eight businesses were broken into and vandalised along Rua Dr Frederico Ramos Mendes, known as ‘rua dos bares’, in Alvor on October 15.
Among the businesses targeted between 4am and 6am were restaurants, bars and an estate agency. According to Correio da Manhã, local business owners reported damages to doors as well as theft of cash.
One business owner said: “They must have been walking along the street and knocking down doors of businesses that had no alarm, in some cases not even getting inside, just causing damages.”
