Aluminium strippers

A man and a woman were caught late at night in Raposeira, in the western Algarve, stripping a house of all its aluminium shutters. Police say the duo were travelling in a large van which itself was filled with as much as €30,000 worth of stolen material. The man was found to be on the run from jail once inquiries began, reports Correio da Manhã, so on Wednesday he was back behind bars in Silves, while the woman faced charges for theft.
