The race is expected to bring numerous national federated athletes and participants from neighbouring Spain.

The seventh edition of the Altura Triathlon, in the municipality of Castro Marim, is back on October 30 at 10:30, announced the municipality.

This event, which is part of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo Regional Championship, will take place on Altura beach (Alagoa). It includes a 750m swim, 20km of cycling, and a 5km run.

“The race promises, yet again, to bring many national federated athletes and participants from other countries, namely from neighbouring Spain”, says the municipality.

The VII Altura Triathlon is organised by the Clube Leões do Sul in São Bartolomeu do Sul and the Castro Marim municipality. The Portuguese Triathlon Federation is providing technical assistance together with the support of the Turismo do Algarve, Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club, Altura Parish Council and IPDJ (Algarve Regional Delegation).
