Altice Portugal (owners of MEO telecommunications) has announced that it will be increasing its charges from February 2023, excluding the universe of around 100,000 clients on ‘voz fixa’ plans, and seniors subscribed to the ‘pensioners plan’. Advice notes on the price increases are to start being sent to subscribers from today. Simulations point to people’s bills increasing by around €1 a month. Said the company: “We understand the context in which the country is living, in which Portuguese families are living, and we know this is difficult. Our principal concern is with our clients and having maximum transparency”.
