Alternative ‘leather’ fabric created by two companies in Alto Minho

An ‘alternative fabric’ that looks and feels like leather has been created by two companies in the Alto Minho region: wine producers Soalheiro and textile company Tintex. The fabric is a mix of organic cotton and grape skins. Say reports, it can be used in ‘various types of products’, and gives ‘new life’ to plant residues that might otherwise have been wasted.
