AS PART of Abril em Almodôvar (April in Almodôvar), a two-week cultural festival already underway in the Alentejo town, a medieval market will be taking place this weekend between April 21 and 23.
The market is described as being a journey into the past, namely to the Middle Ages. Visitors will be able to discover Almodôvar’s links with this period and enjoy a wide range of stalls, dancing displays, traditional sporting tournaments, costume parades, popular games and music performances, as well as plenty of food and drink.
