Ten restaurants participated in the event in which a jury sampled the menus on offer and chose the best dishes from four categories: starter, fish or shellfish, meat dish and dessert.

Among the winners were A Floresta, taking first prize for the best meat dish with tenderloins of pork stuffed with dried fruit and goat’s cheese.

In the dessert competition the winner was Casa dos Pinheiros, which offered pancakes stuffed with apples, figs and almonds drizzled with syrup. The prize for the best menu went to Tá Certo in Praia do Garrão. The best quality service award went to Tino’s for the second year in a row.

The prizes were presented by the President of Loulé Câmara, Seruca Emídio and the President of the Almancil Business Association, Aníbal Moreno.
