AN INFORMAL meeting, well attended by foreign residents concerned about Almancil and who intend to vote in the forthcoming local elections on October 9, was organised at the Social Democrats (PSD) office in Almancil last week.
The PSD candidate for the position of ‘Presidente da Junta’ (parish council) is Rui Cristina, a dynamic 26-year-old man from an Almancil family. Rui is well supported by a strong and capable committee, which includes four estrangeiros. He recognises the contribution that has been made by the foreign community in business investment and support of charitable causes, which has helped make Almancil such a unique place.
The meeting gave the opportunity to talk about issues of concern with Rui and his team. Anyone who was unable to be present but would still like an opportunity to meet with Rui or a member of his team (option to speak English, German, French or Spanish), may call 919 363 190 for an appointment.
