Nobel International School Algarve will open a new campus in Almancil in September 2020 for students from pre-school to Year 6, aged three to 11.
The “long-awaited” campus is now underway and will deliver the Cambridge Assessment International Curriculum to small classes in a purpose-built campus, with the first phase due for completion in time for the start of the next academic year.
Head of School Mike Farrer said: “To extend our school brand into the Almancil area is a natural progression and a very exciting project for all involved. As the only school in the Algarve to be part of a global education group with more than 50 schools across nine countries, we are able to recruit and develop the very best teachers and to allow our students to benefit from the inter-school festivals and competitions, as well as the benefit of teacher interaction between our Algarve-based schools. Our team is committed to creating a world-leading school group and parents will see the evidence when they walk through the doors next September.”
The school will be situated on a plot of land opposite the Go-Karting track in Almancil, close to Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago, and will have close links with its sister schools in Lagoa and Lagos.
Mike Farrer added: “The school, initially a Pre-School and Primary School, will be designed to incorporate architectural elements that allow for a mindfulness curriculum, with a Pause Pod, sensory gardens and a Feng Shui-inspired central quad. A dedicated Astroturf, Multi-Media Centre, Multi-Purpose Hall, Library and dedicated playground for Pre-School will create a dynamic and forward-thinking 21st century learning environment and classrooms will all be wifi-linked with smart boards. We will have our own dining room for the children, for packed lunches, and ample parking. It will be state of the art and being there to see the first spade of earth dug was just brilliant.”
