Plans to expand the recently-opened international secondary school in Aljezur have been announced.
While the physical expansion of the school through the construction of a carbon neutral building continues to move forward (see the Algarve Resident edition December 17, 2010), the school is also expanding its examination services.
The school is now a recognised Cambridge International examination centre and is available for pupils from the school itself while also welcoming students studying externally to take exams there.
Karen Whitten from the school said: “The school is the first open exam centre in the western Algarve and this new service ties in with the ethos of the school of providing the highest calibre, yet affordable education, focused on individual achievement within an inclusive wider community.”
