Tim Burton brings the Lewis Carroll classic back to the big screen with his usual dark spin, fantastic special effects and an all star cast of actors from Johnny Depp to Matt Lucas.
Alice is now 19 years old and has returned accidentally to Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years ago as a little girl but had mysteriously forgotten all about.
Alice’s father has recently died and she is attending a party at a Victorian country house when she spots a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat and a pocket watch. Shocked by the vision, she follows the rabbit into a maze before eventually tumbling down a rabbit hole into Underland, more commonly referred to as Wonderland by its inhabitants.
She has been told that she is the only one that is able to slay the Jabberwock, a dragon controlled by the nasty Red Queen and so she sets off on her magical journey through the mystifying world of wonderland.
