A campaign to collect nappies and other essential baby items has been launched by an Algarve association.
Algarve Pela Vida (Algarve for Life) held a presentation of its campaign at a primary school in Silves recently to explain to schoolchildren the importance of helping the poorer groups in society, in this particular case unemployed mothers facing serious financial difficulties.
An Algarve Pela Vida spokesman told the Algarve Resident: “The mothers we are trying to support are from the Aljezur, Portimão, Loulé and Olhão areas. They desperately need essential baby items as they have no means of purchasing them.”
Essential items include disposable nappies, baby food, clothing and pushchairs.
