Algarve’s second earthquake in three days registered near Portimão

An earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale was registered in the early hours of this Monday morning around 10 kilometres southwest of Portimão, just two days after a 3.0 earthquake was detected in Vila do Bispo (click here).

This latest quake was detected at 4.28am, reports Portugal’s Sea and Atmosphere Institute (IPMA). No one has reported feeling it so far, although the institute encourages anyone who did to fill out a form online on its website (click here).
