Algarve’s Monterosa olive oils win five medals in Japan

The Algarve’s Azeites Monterosa olive oils are once again basking in international glory.

After winning several medals at competitions in the US last month (click here), the Moncarapacho-based company has received five new medals at this year’s Olive Japan competition.

Competing against as many as 600 olive oils from 21 countries, Azeites Monterosa won three gold medals for its Maçanilha, Verdeal and Picual varieties as well as two silver medals for Cobrançosa and Frantoio.
