Algarve’s Monterosa olive oil awarded international medals

Azeites Monterosa in Moncarapacho, Olhão are celebrating “excellent results” obtained at several international competitions this month.

The success story began in America at the Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, which awarded the company four silver medals for its Maçanilha, Picual, Verdeal and Cobrançosa varieties as well as a bronze medal for Frantoio.
Then came three medals at the New York International Olive Oil Competition, including two golds (Picual and Verdeal) and one silver (Maçanilha).

“This is the fourth year Monterosa has won a gold medal in this competition, which shows the sustainability of the quality and excellence of our products and their visibility and acknowledgement on an international level,” the company said in a statement.
Finally, Monterosa’s Maçanilha olive oil was included in a top 100 list of Spain’s Evooleum Awards.
