Algarve’s first Normal store to open at Aqua Portimão

Normal sells “absolutely normal products at absolutely abnormal prices”

Danish retail chain Normal will open its first store in the south of Portugal at the Aqua shopping centre in Portimão on Thursday (July 6).

Normal arrived in Portugal at the end of October last year with the opening of its first store in the Greater Lisbon area at Alegro Sintra. The chain then announced its expansion to the north of Portugal with two new stores in Braga, at Nova Arcada, and in Rio Tinto, at Parque Nascente.

Since opening Sintra, we have received several requests to come to the Algarve region, so we are very pleased to be able to fulfil the wishes of our customers and bring the Normal shopping experience to the south of Portugal,” says Torben Mouritsen, CEO of Normal.

“We are very pleased that Normal has chosen Aqua Portimão to expand its presence in Portugal. Normal is a brand committed to quality, excellence in customer service, and sustainability, values that we share. Its opening at Aqua Portimão reflects the centre’s commitment to offering the best experiences to our customers,”says Jorge Tavares, director of Aqua Portimão.

The Danish retailer claims to “stand out from other retail chains by offering absolutely normal products at absolutely abnormal prices.”

Prices are fixed and constant, so customers do not need to constantly search for promotions. Moreover, the prices are generally lower than those practiced by the competition,” it says.

“We sell make-up, household products, personal care items, and a wide variety of everyday basic products that are already known from brands like L’Oréal, Gillette, or Colgate,” explains Torben Mouritsen.
