Algarve winter league

The battle for the League title is heading for a nail biting finish as only one point now separates the Cats and the Greens.

Cats beat Foresters at home by 7 points to 1 and Greens narrowed the gap by beating Amigos 8-0. In the final round of the games on March 10, Cats entertain Rangers who are last but one in the League and Greens play stable mates Gladiators at Alvor.

Amigos have now completed their games and are third in the League on 69 points. Tigers, who had a rest day, and Harlequins, who beat Gladiators 5-3, are both on 68 points four ahead of Foresters, who play Tigers at PDF in their last game.

Bottom of the table Huntsmen beat their fellow bowlers Rangers at PDF 6 points to 2 and they will play Harlequins in their final game, also at PDF so they still have a chance of avoiding the wooden spoon.

Mid week league

Alvor Diamonds now have an unassailable lead at the top of the Mid Week League. They have 63 points, a lead of 14 over second place CPO Prefects.

Centurians are third on 48 points and then there is quite a gap before the two PDF teams Gamekeepers and Poachers who are on 28 and 27 points respectively. Bottom of the table Aces have reduced the deficit again and are now on 23 points.
