Zoomarine (Best Park/Company of Tourist Entertainment), Vilamoura Marina (Best Marina) and Salgados Palace & Congress Centre (Best Congress Establishment) were the three Algarve nominees that brought home a prize from the Publituris Portugal Trade Awards 2016.
The Algarve had fielded eight nominations. Like in 2015, Zoomarine and Vilamoura Marina won in their respective categories, while Salgados swooped in this year to ‘steal’ the accolade from Lisbon’s Centro de Congressos.
The award ceremony took place on Wednesday (March 2) at the opening of Lisbon’s BTL tourism fair, and was attended by Secretary of State for Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho and President of Turismo de Portugal, LuÃs Araújo.
