Tivoli Hotels & Resorts will be holding the Algarve Wine Festival this month to raise the profile and reputation of the region’s wines.
From March 26 to 30, Tivoli Victoria (Vilamoura), Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, Tivoli Carvoeiro, Tivoli Lagos and Tivoli Marina Portimão will be hosting several Algarve wine producers, who will present their wines and hold tasting sessions. Participating wineries are Adega do Cantor, Quinta do Barranco Longo, Quinta da Penina and Única – Adega Cooperativa do Algarve.
The initiative is being supported by the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve, the Wine Sector Commission (Comissão Vitivinícola do Algarve) and oenologist Aníbal Coutinho, wine consultant for Tivoli Hotels & Resorts.
It is expected that the event, held each day from 6pm to 8pm, will help bolster the local economy.
As part of the Algarve Wine Festival programme, the Angsan Spa by Banyan Tree within the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura and the Elements Spa by Banyan Tree at the Tivoli Victoria will be offering special red wine exfoliation treatments from €50.
