Algarve water gets “seal of approval”

For the second year running, Águas do Algarve has won the seal of exemplary approval for its water quality.
According to a communiqué from the authority, the award is “reason for great pride”.
Going further – perhaps almost too far – the authority says: “It is a moment that we want to share with the whole Algarve population, as this award is also for those who, every day, receive into their homes the most beautiful tap water”.
The company says the award bestowed by regulating authority ERSAR means “continuous motivation in the delivery of our functions and in the realisation of our objectives, so that the water sector reflects an excellent service with a certified product”.
Indeed, the latest accolade is to be celebrated with a public ceremony on November 19, as part of the Expo Conferência da Água in Lisbon.
Meantime, ERSAR guarantees that Portugal’s water quality in general has improved by leaps and bounds over the last few years – now being classified as water everyone can trust.
