The Algarve University Hospital Centre (CHUA) has announced the opening of a new electroencephalography laboratory at Faro Hospital’s Neurophysiology Unit.
The laboratory is equipped with a new “high-technology” electroencephalogram (EEG) machine which will facilitate the diagnosis of neurological diseases, CHUA says.
Hopes are that the new lab will improve neurophysiology diagnosis and treatment for the entire population of the Algarve, the lab’s technical coordinator Ana Magalhães said.
