The warning is expected to be in place until 12h00 on Friday.
Five mainland districts are under a yellow weather warning from today due to the forecast of strong wind, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
The districts of Faro, Setúbal, Lisbon, Leiria and Beja will be under a yellow weather warning because of strong wind, with gusts of up to 75 kilometres per hour, between 12h00 today and 12h00 on Friday.
Due to the strong wind, the Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Coimbra, and Braga districts will also be under the yellow weather warning from 12h00 on Thursday until 00h00 on Friday.
The IPMA issues the yellow weather warning whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
