The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow alert warning for the Algarve and the Madeira archipelago due to “persistent high values of maximum temperature” starting today.
The weather alert will continue until 9pm on Thursday.
Maximum temperatures of 36ºC and 37ºC are expected today and tomorrow, respectively, in Faro.
