Five Algarve tourism businesses were awarded for their outstanding service, product and professionalism in the ‘Publituris Portugal Travel Awards 2013’ event.
Hotels recognised by Publituris were Vila Galé Lagos in Meia Praia (Best 4 Star Hotel), Dom José Beach Hotel in Quarteira (Best 3 Star Hotel), Martinhal Beach Resort & Hotel in Sagres (Best Resort Hotel) and Vila Joya in Albufeira (Best Boutique Hotel).
Onyria Palmares in Meia Praia was awarded the Best Golf Course prize for the second consecutive year.
Desidério Silva, president of the Algarve Tourism Board, said it was a great honour to see Algarve businesses being distinguished by Portugal’s longest-standing newspaper aimed at hoteliers and tourism professionals.
“I wish to congratulate all entrepreneurs and Algarve people for making the region’s tourism product so popular both nationally and abroad,” said the Algarve tourism boss.
The 10th Publituris Portugal Travel Awards gala was held recently at the Montes Claros venue in Monsanto (Lisbon).
